Sobre o Jogo

Tomb Raider: Underworld é o oitavo título da popular série de jogos de aventura, estrelados pela musa virtual Lara Croft. Desenvolvido pela Crystal Dynamics, o jogo é a continuação direta de Tomb Raider: Legend, dando seqüência à trama iniciado no título anterior.

O jogo tem como cenário principal as ruínas do sul do México, onde Lara Croft, renomada arqueóloga britânica, descobre uma série de portais inter dimensionais que a levam para o underworld. Esses portais permanecem abertos por apenas cinco dias, registrados no calendário Maia como Wayeb.

Entre outras locações estão a Austrália, a misteriosa Ilha de Páscoa, Roma, o Vaticano a região da Mesopotâmia e o Triângulo Dourado, área que compreende os países de Myanmar (Vietnã, Laos e Tailândia), além de uma versão remodelada da Mansão Croft, lar da bela protagonista do jogo.

O jogo conta com gráficos e jogabilidade renovadas, que marcam o terceiro título da franquia para os consoles de sétima geração, sendo Tomb Raider: Legend e Tomb Raider: Anniversary (ambos para o Xbox 360), os outros dois jogos.

Cenários interativos e inteligentes, um novo sistema de combate e itens multifuncionais, e remodelagem completa da personagem principal são apenas algumas das novidades que Underworld apresenta a franquia.

Stranded about the mythical island of Yamatai using a freak storm, 21-year-old Lara Croft’s career being a videogame protagonist starts with suffering. Inside the opening hours of Tomb Raider shes stabbed, burned, drenched, assaulted and almost freezes to death: that’s if you’re successful, meeting the stress of each and every linear climbing section, gunfight, finickety stealth sequence and quick-time event that comes up. Fail these and you’ll also watch her be crushed, impaled, strangled, mauled and so forth.

This early cruelty will be the game’s most strikingly idiosyncratic feature.
